How to delete your SpillBill account and its data. This applies to the SpillBill Android app and spillbillinsights.com, both run by SpillBill Consulting LLP.

1. Delete in the app

1. Open the SpillBill app and log in.
2. Tap the Account tab in the bottom bar.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
4. Read the notice and tap Continue.
5. Type your username to confirm, then tap Delete.

Your account is deleted at once and you are logged out.

2. Delete on the website

1. Log in at spillbillinsights.com.
2. Open the account menu at the top right.
3. Click Delete Account and follow the same steps as in the app.

3. Can't log in?

Email contact@spillbillinsights.com with the subject "Delete my account" and the phone number you signed up with. We check that the account is yours, delete it, and reply to confirm.

4. What is deleted

• Your name, phone number, email address and other profile details
• Your login sessions and push-notification tokens
• Your identity (KYC) verification records
• Your survey invitations and allocations

5. What is kept, and for how long

• Survey answers, feedback and support chats: kept in anonymised form for research, no longer linked to you. If you typed personal details into a free-text answer, email us and we will remove them.
• Reward and payment records (amounts, transaction references and the bank account used for payouts): kept for the period required by Indian tax and accounting law.
• One-way hashes of your phone number, email, Aadhaar, device and bank account: kept to stop repeat sign-ups for rewards. A hash cannot be turned back into the original value.
• A record that you withdrew consent, and when: kept as proof of compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Deletion cannot be undone.
